Serena Yoakum earned her BFA at The Ohio State University in 2022, studying animation and screenwriting. Her current role at AfroDuck Studios is as a Character Sprite Animator/Artist, working on Zakumba: Episode Astraia.

In her free time, Serena enjoys attending animation talks and conventions, watching movies at a nearby drive-in, and going to concerts. You can always find her doing something art-related, whether that’s drawing, painting, animating, or (trying) to learn the piano.

• Her favorite cartoon is Adventure Time.

• Her favorite anime is Tokyo Ghoul.

• She loves listening to metal, especially Nu Metal (and once you get her started talking about it, she won’t stop).
