BUCKLE UP, BABY: DEMO IS OUT NOW ON STEAM!!!
Yeah, I’m dedicating a blog post to this. What are you gonna do about it? Punk.
Okay, wait, sorry, please play our demo for Zakumba: Astraia that IS OUT NOW ON STEAM! Just search up Zakumba: Astraia and mountains of fun and joy and wonder can be yours for…
Wait, for real?!
IT’S COMPLETELY FREE, BABY! The only thing you’ll lose is some time, but that’s better than losing time AND money. But, like, it won’t be a waste because you’ll be playing the greatest game of all time. Shigeru Miyamoto is crying right now because he just sensed its release. Every star in the universe is hooping and hollering into the infinite atmosphere, and even that isn’t enough to contain the level of elation.
None of this is exaggerated, by the way. I’ve written, like, 15 blog posts, so I’m probably the most trustworthy person you could ask.
But, with this demo now out in the world, what does this mean for AfroDuck Studios? What is their next step?
With the Vertical Slice demo completed (barring some potential bug fixes), we’ll be pivoting to the hunt for publishers! That’s right; although this 30 minute experience contains every answer to every question one may ask, existential or otherwise, we’re seeking a publisher to answer QUESTIONS BEYOND THE INFINITE!
Okay, but in all seriousness, the next step is to pitch our game to publishers in order to gain funding for the full experience. But don’t think you can’t help us; there are a few ways you can help with the process!
The first is to WISHLIST THE GAME ON STEAM, as that is an excellent barometer for gauging interest in upcoming projects. So, if you’re on board with what ship we’re hauling, then go ahead and WISHLIST THE GAME ON STEAM.
…
The second way to help is to spread the word of our game to any friends of yours who would be interested! From there, they can WISHLIST THE GAME ON STEAM. But also, they can join our Discord as well to get some exclusive updates on the project and interact with a bunch of people who have decidedly exquisite tastes. Click on that first image/link to join (and I also put the other ones there too, if you wanted to get frisky with your valued support)!
But, to be serious again for a moment, thank you all for following us thus far. Your support has gotten us through pain, agony, and immense suffering, to create something that, before now, didn’t exist. We hope you enjoy the demo!
Also, give us some feedback, because feedback is awesome and helps us make better stuff. You can do this in our Discord server!
Bet you didn’t think I could squeeze that much material out of a demo announcement. I’d be jealous.
